About the Role:
This is a Full-Time, In-Person position based in our Kawasaki office under Kurobe Corporation, with responsibilities spanning both Kurobe Corporation’s business operations and its education division, International Language House. We are seeking a sales professional to support both existing client relationships and new business development across our education and recruitment services.
In this role, you will work with a small team to manage client accounts, propose English instructor dispatch services to educational institutions, and support recruitment initiatives for international talent. You will collaborate with internal teams, communicate with both Japanese clients and global candidates, and contribute to business growth.
This position is ideal for someone with strong Japanese and English skills, sales experience in Japan, and a proactive, team-oriented approach in a multicultural environment.
Who We Are:
For over 20 years, Kurobe Corporation has been connecting nurseries, kindergartens, afterschool programs, international schools, etc. throughout Japan with talented international instructors, and supporting their English programs through our education division, “International Language House” (ILH). We also own and manage three bilingual schools and two licensed nurseries in Kanagawa.
Across the Kanto area (mainly Tokyo and Kanagawa) we partner with over 150 educational institutions, providing English teaching staff and recruitment support. Our goal is simple: to create fun, engaging English experiences that help learners here in Japan connect with the world while staying true to their identity.
Building on this experience, we are expanding our services from 2025 to include international IT talent recruitment, with a focus on supporting the hiring of skilled engineers from overseas with companies here in Japan.
Expectations:
You will work closely with two existing sales team members, supporting both client relationships and new business development.
Client Support (Existing Sales)
Maintain regular communication with current clients, including kindergartens, daycare centers, and after-school programs
Build strong relationships and ensure ongoing satisfaction
Business Development (New Sales)
Propose English instructor dispatch services to early childhood education facilities
Support sales activities related to recruiting foreign IT talent for Japanese companies
Additional Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of ILH’s English programs
Translate documents between Japanese and English as needed
Prepare quotations and client proposals
Collaborate with the recruitment team to understand and share client needs
Interview and follow up with foreign candidates
Match candidates with suitable client companies
Requirements:
Japanese: Native level or fluent (minimum N2 level, reading, writing, and speaking for non-Japanese applicants)
Business-level Japanese language skills and cultural understanding for client interactions
English: Business-level English skills sufficient for interacting with foreign candidates, internal staff, and clients
3-5 years of sales experience (experience in new customer acquisition, relationship building, and maintenance)
Sales experience in the education or IT/engineering industry in Japan is a plus
Positive attitude and willingness to conduct on-site sales visits in the Tokyo/Kanagawa area as needed
Teamwork skills and strong communication abilities
Basic proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace (Spreadsheets, Presentations, Drive management, etc.)
Task management skills
Proactive and responsible fulfillment of one's role within a team
Regular and prompt progress updates of necessary information to the team
Salary/Benefits:
300,000円 - 450,000円 monthly salary (Range based on experience) with incentives based on results*
10 Guaranteed Days of Paid Time Off (After 3 months from date of hire)
Transpoortation expenses up to ¥25,000 per month
*Incentives are based on closing new client contracts, successful placements into partner locations, etc. To be discussed.
